April 16, 2026 – Syensqo has launched Omnix® DW-4650, a new high-performance polyamide material designed to enable the production of safer, more reliable and cost-effective sanitary products. Amid growing market demand for modern showers and faucets, manufacturers are seeking cost-optimized metal alternatives with enhanced performance. Omnix® DW-4650 effectively addresses this need, delivering strong resistance to frost cracking even in extremely low-temperature environments.
Omnix® DW-4650 is a high-performance polyamide featuring exceptional freeze resistance, mechanical strength and long-term durability. It passes 5–6 freeze-thaw cycles at -5℃C, outperforming conventional plastics and exceeding customer specifications. After 1,500 hours of hydrolysis aging at 60℃C, the material retains outstanding toughness, ensuring reliable performance throughout the product lifecycle. This grade meets all critical mechanical requirements for thermostatic valve bodies, including burst pressure, assembly torque and metal insert retention, and is certified to NSF 61 for drinking water contact applications.
