June 10, 2026 – Arlanxeo and Covestro have deepened their partnership to jointly develop more sustainable production solutions for synthetic rubber. By deploying ISCC PLUS-certified chlorine feedstock supplied by Covestro in the manufacturing of chloroprene rubber (CR), Arlanxeo has substantially cut the product environmental footprint (PEF) of its Baypren® product line.

Covestro’s ISCC PLUS-certified chlorine feedstock is manufactured with renewable electricity, boosting the sustainability of production processes and further curbing greenhouse gas emissions.

Since January 2026, Arlanxeo has fully adopted ISCC PLUS-certified chlorine feedstock for its chloroprene rubber production. This marks another major milestone in the company’s sustainability journey and underscores its long-term commitment to building a more sustainable value chain.

This transition has lowered the global warming potential (GWP) of relevant products by an average of around 20% compared with 2025 baselines*, with actual reductions varying by product grade.
